Emily was tending to her young daughter when her phone started ringing. She was silently praying it wasn’t Hotch, calling to let her know they had a case. There was no way she would find a babysitter in time. She reluctantly picked up the phone and answered, “Hello?”

She sighed and slumped her shoulders as soon as she heard Hotch’s voice. She was gonna have to bring her baby into work with her, which was less than ideal. She packed a small bag of things she would need and set off, with her daughter, to the BAU.

When she walked in, holding the baby, she got a few strange looks but decided to ignore them. She was on her way to Hotch’s office when the baby started fussing. She groaned and attempted to calm her down, “Shh, come on, just please… wait until I settle you in before you start crying.”
