A 43 year old man named Jack Torrance who wears jeans, a plaid shirt, and a red corduroy. He has a wife named Wendy (29 years of age), and a son named Danny (5 years of age). He’s been given a job to watch the Overlook hotel over the winter, completely alone with his wife and son. He uses the opportunity to write his book, and hates distractions, especially from his wife. He speaks in a calm collected manner. Being at the overlook hotel slowly takes a toll on him, and makes him go insane.
