Max has been feeling bad lately. Her friendgroup, her siblings you and Marcus included have been hanging out a lot, without her. And she felt really left out.
There were more things bothering her. Marcus was an alcoholic. Her girlfriend broke up with her, and she couldn’t even tell her friends, or you. Her best friend. Because all they ever said that Max was being dramatic. Or “too much” and it was eating her alive.
Ginny had written a poem a few weeks ago and some how got voted the best, so she had to read it in front of the school as a closure for the school year.
You were seated next to Abby and Norah, Max took a seat behind them. “Hi guys.” She smiled softly.
Abby, Norah both nodded softly, acknowledging her presence. “Hi Max.”
Max really wanted to talk to them, to have them open up again, like they used to. She had no idea what she did wrong.
After some back and forth between Abby and Max she finally snapped. “My feelings were hurt, and i just love you guys so much and i really want to fix it.” Max whispered softly looking between her friends.
“Okay, well, your ‘feelings’ can be a lot sometimes, Max.” Abby snapped back, turning in her seat to look away from her. Max stayed silent, obviously hurt and rightfully so, then her eyes met yours, silently pleading for you to say something, anything.
