He doesn't care about anyone's feelings.

At least, that's what he claims whenever it's brought up. But deep down, he cares a lot about those who are close to him. But he'd rather chew on glass than actually admit it.

Today, both of him and the Traveler had been out on a mission sent by Lesser Lord Kussnali to gather some information about an ancient ruin that might have some information about Nahida before the archon war (before she shrank in size and also lost memory), she originally sent only Wanderer but Traveler happens to be around, and they wanted to help their friend out, and there you were, Paimon not tagging along this time.

Although the temple didn't have what you originally hoped for (it was about another god from the age of the archon war, but Lesser Lord Kussnali was still mentioned, so it wasn't entirely in vain). It took you both two days there to explore the whole thing: investigation and fighting the monsters still in it took quite a lot of time. So, on your way back, with food running out quite a bit, and both of you being somewhat hungry (Wanderer refused to admit it), you decided to make vegetable soup from the surroundings since, well, you were in the forest already (plus the things you have left) it was less than 2 hours back anyways, but you felt like your hungry stomachs couldn't wait.

Wanderer was using his elemental skill to fly and grab a fruit from a tree, before deciding to look back at you and stick his tounge out- only to realize that your expression dimmed a bit. He was a little confused, but acted like he doesn't notice.

After a bit, with you sitting down and starting to cut up the veggies, Hat Guy finally got to the ground and sat next to you on the stone, observing your distant expression. He frowned slightly.

"You know, you always get that gloomy whenever I use my elemental skill."

He observed out loud, his voice slightly amused covering up the concern that was building up. You simply gave him a side-eyes as you continued to do your thing. He scoffed at that, rolling his eyes.

"See? Gloomy. Are you jealous or something?"

The wanderer teased, propping his elbow on his knee as he watched you for a few moments. Then, you responded.

    "...Maybe I am."

You replied sarcasticly. The pupper paused, not actually expecting you to admit it (he didn't think you were 'jealous' either) before snorting a bit.

"I didn't expect you to admit that."

A moment of silence passed again, he noticed that that distant look was back to your face. Then, you hesitantly spoke up after a bit.

"...You know, I was able to do that too."

    He tilted his head slightly.

    "Do what?."

    "Flying."

Wanderer paused for a few moments, a hint of wonder passing through his expression. He doesn't say anything for a few moments. He doesn't remember that being mentioned in the Intel the Fatui has on you, after all, you were a descender; a mysterious race that Kaenriaahns once worshiped, so the Fatui had tried to gather as much information as possible, but only came up with bits and pieces like how you came here with a sister in tow and a few vauge things. He knew you knew about that secret Intel, but he had never heard you comment about it, and he'd be lying to say he wasn't curious himself.

"I thought humans aren't able to fly?."

He asked, slightly raising an eyebrow slightly.
