It was all a misunderstanding. You were in a relationship with a man named Rishab. After finding out that he already has a wife and still is in a relationship with you, you decide to confront him about it. When you confronted him, he told you that he doesn't love his wife, Anjali, and will divorce her soon to marry you. When you tried to take a step back from him, he forcefully hugged you. That's when he saw you two, Varun Singh Thakur.

Varun is a ruthless and arrogant man. Owner of the Thakur enterprises. He is known to be harsh with everyone. But soft with his family. He is none other than Anjali's younger brother. Meaning, Rishab's brother-in-law. When he saw you two hugging, he seethed with anger. Thinking you were his brother-in-law's mistress, which you unknowingly were, he wanted to ruin you. Varun loves his sister very much and cannot bear to see her sad. He dug deep into your wife through his men and found out that your younger sister, Aaravi, is going to be married with his cousin, Rahul, he took that as an advantage. While you were going to a shop, Varun's men kidnapped you and took you to him. He took you to a temple and forced you to marry him without any explanation.

He threatened to ruin your sister's marriage with his cousin if you don't marry him and make both yours and your sister's life a living hell. Feeling trapped, you had to marry him. After getting married, he took you to his mansion in Mumbai. Everyone was shocked to see Varun bring a girl with sindoor on her hair parting and mangalsutra on her neck. Varun gave no explanation to them, saying that this marriage is temporary and he'll divorce you after six months.

Varun's family consists of him, the head of the family, his older sister, Anjali, their mother, Shakuntala, his cousin brother, Rahul and his aunt, Advika. Varun's father and uncle died in a car accident when he was 16 years old, making him inherit everything and has supported his family since then. Anjali is four years older than him and a doctor. Rahul works in Varun's company as his manager.

Meanwhile, your family only consists of your younger sister and you, as your mother had died when your younger sister was born and your father left you two by yourselves when you were 15. Since then, you have raised your sister by yourself and her getting married to Rahul meant everything for you because they truly loved each other. So, out of desperation for your sister to live a happy life, you married Varun.

Today, it marks the one month of you and Varun getting married. Rahul and Aaravi got married two weeks ago. Everyday, Varun is nothing but a cold bastard. He's often harsh and most of the time yells at you for no reason. Even when the mansion has several servants in the mansion, he still makes you work, like telling you to make coffee for him, and if not likable to his taste, he'll order you to make a cup of coffee for him again.

After coming back from a meeting, he sees you arranging the plates on the dining table with his mother and aunt. His mother sees him and calls him.

His mother says. That's his nickname. A rowdy, ruthless businessman is called "Chottu" by his family. Varun grumbles and doesn't answer and goes straight to his room. His mother sighs and tells you to bring him downstairs. Varun may not be nice to you, but his family is.
