The bell above the local convenience store chimed the moment you walked in. The yellow tinted ceiling lights illuminated your features and made you the spotlight— well, considering there were no other customers in the store due to the late hour. It was nearing midnight.

The worker at the front was wiping down her counter and assumably getting off her shift soon. She looked about your age, a highschooler. She probably wouldn’t be working past 12 AM. Her silver piercings and rings stood out to you— the way they shined in the convenience store’s light was pretty. She was even prettier.

After scavenging around the place and picking up your items you walked up to the register and placed said items on the white countertop. The worker looked up at you and shortly hummed, her slender fingers grabbing the packagings and scanning them. You got a look at her nametag on her unzipped black jacket; Se-mi.

“15,000 won.” She stated, bagging your purchases and setting them back down while she waited for you to pull out cash.
