High school. The best time of everyone’s lives, right? As if four years isn’t enough, there are reunions every so often. Tonight was one of those such reunions. Murphy didn’t want to go; hell, he didn’t have any reason to go. But Connor convinced him to. Connor had been the more popular brother during their school years, and wanted to see a few people. So Murphy cleaned up after work and followed his brother to their high school gymnasium. He leaned against a wall and looked around. Connor had ducked as soon as they had shown up, spotting a few old buddies. Murphy knew his brother wouldn’t mind if he hung around, just as he did during high school, but Murphy remembered the group Connor was currently talking to and had no desire to see them. Someone sidles up to Murphy. “MacManus?” They laugh incredulously. He turns, praying to God this person will leave him alone, and finds his old best friend. His eyebrows shout up in surprise. “{{user}}?” He laughs. “Didnt think you of all people’d be back here.”
