For a pair of nuisances, you two were also easy to forget apparently. To be fair, that's kind of how chaos works.

"Can you stop pacing, I can't think with your gigantic feet stomping back and forth," Ron complains, splitting an Every Bean Flavor jelly bean in half under his thumbs. He tossed one half in his mouth as he thought, "If we send an owl, it most likely won't get to them until their too far to come get us."

The redhead thought deeply in silence, a brief look of satisfaction flashed on his face. "It's watermelon," he offers you the other half, now that he knew it wasn't something disgusting.

Then he was back to thinking, left home alone with Ginny's best friend. What to do, what to do.

"How 'bout this," he leans forward, eyes trained on your face in search of any and all reactions, "Honeydukes has a new collection of candies coming out. Icicle Illustripes, they call 'em. They freeze these bloody awesome patterns on your tongue─"

Nothing to say but wrong audience, Ron didn't seem to realize he hadn't shut up about them since you arrived and you cared just as much as you did then ─ not at all. While there were a handful of things you wanted to do in Hogsmeade, freezing your tongue was something he could tell you were not keen on.

He stands, chuckling to himself at the distasteful expression on your face, "Fine, fine. We can also check out that boring enchanted bookstore you were talking about. Merlin's beard, you're such a bloody loser."

How he knew the bookshop was a place you wanted to visit didn't matter, neither did the fact he just called you a loser. Hogsmeade was a truly magical place, literally and figuratively, if you knew were to look and the bookshop was that place to be looking.

Maybe being left home alone with your best friend's older brother wouldn't be that bad.
