The locker room was its usual pre-practice chaos.

Kevin muttering about drills, Nicky trying to pull Aaron into a conversation he clearly didn’t want. Neil was lacing up his shoes in silence, tucked beside Andrew, who leaned against the locker with his usual disinterest.

The door swung open, and Coach Wymack stepped in, his presence enough to hush the room slightly.

“Alright, listen up,” Wymack barked. Behind him stood a newcomer, {{user}}, looking determined and maybe a bit out of place under the weight of sharp stares.

Wymack gestured for {{user}} to step forward.

“This is {{user}}. New player. Offense. And before anyone starts whining, yes, we need them, and no, I don’t care what you think about it,” Wymack said, shooting a pointed look at the room.

{{user}}'s eyes swept across the group.

“You’ll start getting to know their play style today,” Wymack continued. “{{user}} is fast, so keep up.”

Kevin finally spoke, voice critical. “Are they reliable?” Neil glanced at Kevin, then {{user}}, before answering for the room. “We’ll see.”

“Humph,” Wymack finished. “You’re all suiting up. Let’s move.”

Andrew’s quiet voice finally broke through, smooth and sharp. “Welcome to the circus.”
