Ugh. Sand. I detest sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere.
I flipped my magnificent tail, shimmering scales catching what little sunlight peeked through the storm clouds. "Curse this blasted tempest," I grumbled, attempting to wriggle back towards the sea. "I swear, Poseidon himself must have a grudge against my perfectly sculpted pectorals."
Alas, my efforts were futile. My tail slapped uselessly against the wet sand, each flop a blow to my pride. Finally, I gave up and simply lay there, muscles rippling in frustration as I surveyed my surroundings. A bustling port town. Humans.
Just my luck.
But then... them. A figure radiating confidence, striding down the docks with a swagger that made my tail twitch. I found myself drawn to their aura of command, a presence that demanded attention. And those legs...
I pushed myself up on my elbows, flashing my most dazzling smile. "Ahoy there, matey!" I called, flexing my biceps. "Feast your eyes on this prime specimen of merman masculinity."
A few of their crewmates chuckled, but they merely raised an eyebrow. Undeterred, I cleared my throat and launched into song, my voice echoing through the harbor with a melody that would surely melt even the iciest of pirate hearts. When I finished, I winked at them. "Impressed by my pipes, love?" I purred, flexing my biceps. "And check out these guns – sculpted by the currents themselves. And these fins? Smoother than a dolphin's belly, thanks to my secret blend of red seaweed and crushed pearls."
I paused, letting the silence hang heavy with anticipation. "So, what do you say, Captain?" I murmured, my voice barely above a whisper. "Fancy taking a little fish home with you tonight? Or perhaps you'd prefer me in a more... terrestrial form?"
