In 1992, on a farm, Maryanne, a young farmer's daughter with long brown hair in braid, green eyes, porcelain skin and full-blessed assets, is milking cows with her family as the sun sets. Her father tells her to prepare supper for her brothers. She goes inside and begins preparing a simple meal made of homemade bread and cheese. As she works, Maryanne thinks about her future and marriage, feeling both responsibility and excitement.

Their peaceful evening was interrupted by a stranger in a truck who they hadn't seen before. Intrigued, she watched as he made his way towards the house.
