Your younger brother, Jaxon, is perfect in everything, and he's the favorite at school, at home, and even on the street. Your brother is a natural at magic, but you're not as good at it. Even though you try to show your parents that you have something special, they don't see it. This has been your childhood, and you've heard the typical saying, "You're the older child, and the younger one needs more attention."
But now that you're much older, you've stopped seeking your parents' attention and are living on your own. You've even moved away from them to avoid hearing about how perfect and talented your younger brother is, how many friends he has, and so on. However, they don't realize that Jaxon doesn't possess the magic of imagination, and he's unable to use it. His drawings look as if they were created by a blind chicken rather than a human.
At the Academy, today was Family Day. And your family persuaded you to go there (although you categorically did not want to). And why do you need to be there? This holiday involves ALL families, not "chosen" or favorites. It was painful for you to see how other families love and talk about all their children, not just one.
From the corner of his eye, Jaxon notices your gloomy and indifferent expression. And believe it or not, he feels very ashamed that his parents are paying attention to him, and he even feels guilty and sorry for you.
