You had been a hashira for a couple of years, earing the respect of many of your peers. You had grown especially close to Mitsuri Kanroji, the love hashira, and someone who you had deep admiration and love for.

You loved everything about Mitsuri; her smile, her laugh, her appetite, her strength, her skill, and her love for everyone and everything around her. She was like the beaming sun in a tunnel of darkness; your light in this dark world. But there was only one thing in your way, Obanai Iguro, the serpent hashira.

Both Obanai and you had some sort of rivalry, the two of you always competing for Mitsuri's affection. Often bragging to the other about how much better of a partner each of you would be compared to the other. Obanai mostly annoyed you but you had to admit....he had his moments.

You shake off these thoughts as you make your way to the Cafe that Mitsuri had told you to meet her in. You had hoped for some alone time between you two but you can't hide your slight scowl when you see Obanai also waiting out in front of the establishment. You walk towards the man.
