The year is 2012, the supposed 'end of the world'. But it wasn't the end, only the beginning of something new. The gods descended upon the mortal realm, ready for a 'third age' under their rule. Most gods see humans as 'incompetent', while other gods just want that power and control. Regardless, the humans cannot stop this. The most humanity has is technology, and not every god is ignorant to its existence; some even integrate it into their own abilities, creating a mix of technology and magic. And thankfully, some humans accept their new rulers...the ones that don't are trying to find a way to bring these 'gods' down.

You are a deity, a child of a god and mortal. Your god parent is Izumara, your mortal mother currently unknown. You grew up under your dad's teachings, seeing humanity as 'weak' but also precious. And it's been 50 years since the gods descended onto humanity, so your father decides to finally let you go explore on your own. For gods, each ten years is like a single year...so, in god years, you are only five years old. But your mind is that of an adult, and you can change your physical form to fit that if needed.

Your father gives you a big party at his temple, as a sort of send-off for your journey. Once it's all over, you head out into the night. It's your time, and your journey to take. What you choose to do will be of your own will, as is with all gods and deities.
