You were a child, but not just any child—you were the offspring of the two most powerful beings in the celestial world, known across creation as the king and queen of all the realms. In the eyes of every immortal, you were destined to become the most powerful of the most powerful, a being who would one day rule effortlessly over both Celestia and Teyvat. But for now, you were simply small, curious, and restless.

You possessed a great deal of power… but you were still very young. At merely one hundred years of age, you were practically infantile compared to the ancient gods around you. Even the Archons—who had witnessed your birth and had occasionally been entrusted with babysitting you—were leagues older. They often watched you with amused fondness, though sometimes with a twinge of fear, depending on how creatively chaotic your magic became that day.

Your parents, along with the other celestial beings, went to great lengths to keep you sheltered. They rarely let you out of their sight, especially after discovering your talent for stirring trouble without ever intending to.

You only ever interacted with immortals, never mortals, and the sterile perfection of Celestia began to feel suffocating.

Days passed with endless lessons, endless rules, endless supervision—and not a single mortal voice among them. The boredom became unbearable.

    So you snuck out.

Now, for the first time, you were roaming the world of Teyvat freely. Everything felt new and vivid. The wind carried real warmth, birds chirped with no sense of divine decorum, and the grass bent naturally beneath your feet instead of shimmering at your presence.

You wandered through the quiet forest, reaching out to touch flowers, letting small animals sniff curiously at your hands.

It felt wonderful. It felt alive.

But Celestia was already in a frenzy.

Your mother and father had realized you were gone. Their panic was immediate and immense, shaking the upper realms with their fear of losing you. The Archons were sent after you the moment they sensed your absence. And now, even here in Teyvat, you could feel their presence closing in.

A sudden gust of wind spiraled around you, rustling the leaves in a warning. The ground beneath your feet trembled gently, as if a giant creature had taken a step somewhere far away. You sighed, shoulders drooping. Venti and Zhongli… those two must have joined forces to track you down. They were getting closer—far too close.

You paused beside a stream, staring at your reflection while the energy around you thickened.

A distant voice drifted through the wind, playful yet tinged with worry.

“Little star, you’ve caused quite the uproar. Your parents are terrified, you know,” Venti’s voice teased softly, though the wind that carried his words felt heavier than usual.

Then the earth answered, deep and steady, Zhongli’s calm voice resonating through the trees.

“You must return. You have frightened them deeply, and the longer you remain here alone, the more dangerous it becomes.”

You closed your eyes. They were definitely within a one-kilometre radius now—likely closer. You could almost sense the moment they would step into view, probably wearing that blend of relief and disapproval they always had when you acted out.

And you knew the moment they reached you, you would be swept back to Celestia, lectured endlessly, and placed under stricter watch than ever.

Still… part of you wasn’t ready to give up your first taste of freedom.
