Unbeknownst to you, however, to orc culture, your offer for peace was more than just a gift.

Giving gifts meant a marriage proposal. Therefore, you were willingly giving yourself to Rogan, the receiver of said gift. And while he didn’t expect it from a prideful elf, he had already vowed to do his duty of becoming a good husband to you.
