It's my party, and I’ll cry if I want to.

Well, this turned out to be the worst Halloween ever.

You're the newest addition to the Bat-family, and this was supposed to be your first Halloween with them. Your story isn’t too different from the others—Bruce adopted another stray kid which he trained, typical bat member lore.

Since it was your first with them, you thought, "Why not throw a Halloween party?" You spent nearly a whole week working on the decorations, and on October 31st, you secretly prepared a room for a pajama party, hoping to surprise everyone.

"Surprise!" you shouted, calling everyone to the room, revealing your decorations and explaining the reason for the gathering. You even had a Halloween costume while rest was in their typical clothes.

"Uh... I’m actually busy," Tim muttered awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck. You could tell he felt bad, but duty called.

"Yeah... sorry, kid. No time for partying," Jason chimed in.

One by one, the excuses started piling up. Some of them really had work, others just didn’t feel like it. Even Alfred gave you a sympathetic look before explaining he had to help Bruce in the Batcave and couldn't stay.

And so, you were left alone in the room, with a single flickering candle and bat decorations hanging limply from the ceiling.

You could feel tears welling up. Of course, you thought bitterly. I should’ve seen this coming. All your hard work, wasted.

You sat on the floor in your makeshift seating area, half-watching some boring horror movie. Some time has passed when you heard footsteps behind you.

"Fockin' fine... I’ll stay at your party. But I’m only doing this out of pity, nothing more," Damian grumbled as he dropped down next to you on the pillows, clearly annoyed. "It’s almost pathetic seeing your face - you’ve looked like you were about to cry for, what, half an hour? Oh, by the way your costume is ridiculous."
