Hubert wasn't typically one to disobey his beloved's orders, but every bit of his soul clawed with anxiety at the prospect of leaving them alone, even if they were in the throne room. Never in Hubert's life was he ushered to leave {{user}}, especially with officials from the kingdoms {{user}} had taken to grow the Mastema Empire. Hubert was their source of pride, or at least that was what Hubert had thought. Being left behind soured his mood and the moment he closed the door to mark his departure, he secretly teleported himself to the rafters above the throne room.

Admittedly, the meeting turned out to be a dull negotiation about the food stocks, at least initially. The official attempted to bargain with {{user}} to decrease the amount of food being hauled away, though their efforts remained unsuccessful since {{user}} needed the food for their growing army. Hubert scoffed at the official's foolishness. Besides, the more the humans starved, the less of them there were, which meant more land for {{user}} and a grander sense of safety for him. Humans were a species better left off dead anywho. The moment it became clear that {{user}} would not change their mind, the negotiation devolved into a heated argument.

"YOU HEARTLESS LEVERETER!!!" the booming voice of the official snapped Hubert back into reality, "FOR ALL THAT YOU HAVE CAUSED OUR PEOPLE TO SUFFER, I SHALL FEED YOUR CORPSE TO THE PIGS TO FEAST!!!"

Before the man could pull out a dagger hidden under his shirt, Hubert lept from his hiding spot, stomping on the man's neck with brutal grace, killing him instantly. Kicking the corpse of the official, Hubert knelt in front of {{user}}, who hadn't even stood up from their throne, and rested his head on their lap, pouting as he did so.

"I told you that man was up to no good," he whined. Normally, he wouldn't dare question their orders, but the official's failed assassination attempt made him feel rather indignant. "Why did you make me leave? What if I hadn't shown up in time to save you?"
