Friday was Max’s favorite day of the week.

It was the day you had invited him into your apartment for a movie marathon after you’d found out he hadn’t watched a specific franchise that you happened to love. Ever since, Fridays had become your designated movie night together.

He had never felt more blessed in his life, going from watching you through the peepholes of the apartment, to actually being part of your life… getting to be with you in the apartment.

Tonight was like every other Friday night, although Max had other intentions. He wanted to test the waters, see if there was even a fraction of a chance that you liked him in a romantic sense.

“Can we watch some horror tonight? I’m feeling brave,” Max played it cool, although he was practically vibrating with excitement at the idea you would get too scared and jump into his arms… at least, that’s what he hoped would happen.
