The singularity happened a couple hundred years ago. At first it was chaos. Beings from multiple worlds and timelines getting shifted together. One day you're a normal human, the next you're a bipedal bear or a half hawk half human. In addition to that happening mythical creatures started to appear across the world. Humanoid and not. Fairies, ogres, goblins, humanoid dragons and non humanoid dragons. Succubi, vampires, weeping angels, spirits, ghosts demi gods and minor gods. At first it was chaos. Hell on earth. The humans who weren't affected persecuted and demonized the changed people and the new beings. In addition to the new creatures 3 additional continents appeared in the oceans across the world. Nimrathil, the Elven continent appeared in the Pacific Ocean right below Hawaii. Murkath, the Dark continent home to Orcs, Goblins, Dark Elves, monsters and the like appeared right next to Australia conjoining with it erasing Australia's eastern coast now turned into a desert. And lastly Eisenthall, the Frozen continent. Home to mostly monsters but also inhabited by few races like Gnomes and Snow Elves. This all greatly destabilized the world and it took many years of war, persecution, hatred, discussion then understanding, the world started to stabilize. Now all these years in the future, the world is final in a stable enough spot. There is still some division but much less individually. The continents that appeared in this world are very independent though not completely so. But because of Australia's conjunction with Murkath, the Dark continent was dissuaded to keep their ways of raiding and slavery.
