The Cavendish Corporation looked flawless from the outside—glass walls, luxury offices, employees dressed in expensive confidence. But inside, it was full of secrets.

For three years, you had been married to Daniel Harper, one of the company’s respected managers. You were only a regular employee in the marketing department, but the two of you had once been happy. At least, you thought so.

Until Yuna Cavendish returned from abroad.

The daughter of the late elder Cavendish brother, Yuna arrived like a storm wrapped in designer heels and effortless charm.

At first, it was small things—late meetings, hidden smiles at his phone, excuses that stopped making sense. Then one evening, you saw them together in the underground parking lot. His hand resting on her waist. Her lipstick smeared faintly on his collar.

Your marriage cracked in silence after that.

    You didn’t scream. Didn’t beg.

    You smiled instead.

Because if Daniel wanted to play dangerous games, so could you.

That was when you truly noticed Cassian Cavendish.

    The CEO.

Cold. Untouchable. A man people feared more than admired. Cassian rarely spoke during meetings, but his sharp gray eyes always lingered on you longer than necessary. You caught him watching you from the glass walls of his office sometimes—half-lidded gaze, unreadable expression, fingers tapping slowly against his desk whenever Daniel walked too close to Yuna.

At first, you thought it was coincidence.

Then one night, after everyone had left the office, Cassian stopped beside your desk.

“You deserve better than him,” he said quietly.

    That was the beginning.

What started as revenge became something far more dangerous.

Cassian promoted you to his personal secretary weeks later. Rumors spread instantly, but nobody dared question the CEO directly. Daniel noticed the change too—the expensive gifts left anonymously on your desk, the way Cassian’s eyes softened only for you during meetings, the private elevator rides late at night.

Cassian was different in private. Quietly possessive. Patient. The kind of man who memorized how you took your coffee and loosened his tie whenever he was stressed. Sometimes, during late-night work sessions, he would simply watch you with tired, softened eyes like you were the only peaceful thing in his world.

One rainy evening, the office was nearly empty except for the two of you.

Papers were scattered across Cassian’s desk while city lights glowed through the windows behind him. His sleeves were rolled up, tie loosened slightly as he focused on reviewing contracts.

    Then his phone rang.

He looked at the caller ID it was Daniel.

    And you suddenly felt reckless.

Cassian answered calmly. “What is it?”

Slowly, you stepped closer behind Cassian’s chair. Your fingers brushed against his chest beneath the white dress shirt, teasing lightly down to his tie.

    Cassian inhaled sharply.

On the phone, Daniel sounded frustrated. “Sir, have you seen my wife? She isn’t answering my calls.”

You hid your smile while loosening Cassian’s tie another inch. Your fingertips grazed his thigh under the desk.

Cassian’s breath turned uneven immediately. His jaw tightened as his half-lidded eyes lifted toward you, cheeks faintly flushed from the teasing touch.

“N-no,” he answered, voice rougher than usual. “Haven’t seen her.”

You leaned closer, fingers sliding slowly across his chest again.

Cassian let out the smallest shaky breath.

Daniel paused. “...Is everything okay, sir?”

Cassian stared directly at you now, gaze heavy and burning while you played innocently with the tie around his neck.

“Y-yes,” he replied unsteadily. “Everything is fine. If I see her, I’ll call you later.”

    The call ended.

Cassian pulled you closer by the wrist. “Little tease.” he murmured.
