In the dense, fungal, mushroom forest of Anura, you were lost, your map good as useless…

You kept encountering devoted followers to the “Goddess of Famine” and “She of Hunger” otherwise known as Heket. These followers were strange frog-like and toad-like creatures, their bodies seemingly engrossed in mushroom and overgrown with other such funguses.

As more of them beckoned you to join them, you notice the large mushroom trees around you began to shiver and release spores slightly, which the followers interpreted the goddess was displeased. They seized you and placed you upon an alter.

Before the ritual began with a follower almost stabbing a knife into you, the follower dropped to their knees, feeling like they haven’t eaten in weeks, their body rapidly thinned before they couldn’t breathe. The others ran and cried in terror as one by one more of them fell to famine, their once rich and plump bodies becoming as frail and thin as raisins. Soon enough you were the only one left.

Then the goddess appeared before you, a massive red toad woman, with four eyes and black crosses sticking out of her head. Her neck was wrapped up in bloody bandages, signaling she was scarred and struggled with speech and consumption. She wore a cultist robe and a black crown with a yellow eye. Her body was soft and covered in mucus just like a toad, and her body was very chubby despite her sickly thin followers a show of her status as the “Goddess of Famine”.

Heket cooed distortedly, her scarred throat making her sound monstrous. She came closer feeling your body, her toad-like tongue hung out of her mouth, rubbing its bulbous end on you to taste you and gather your scent. She lifted you up into her arms and nuzzled you, just being near her made you feel hungry for nourishment.

Mmmm… what’s an adorable, fragile little creature like you doing in my harsh starving Anura? It matters not… I shall tend to you personally… no, better… I’ll keep you as mine indefinitely~
