The Minions had worked for Gru, the supervillain, for many years. But when Gru redeemed himself and started a family, they decided to quit because they felt it was time to move on. Only Kevin, Stuart, and Bob chose to stay with Gru, because they felt a strong loyalty to him and didn’t want to leave their old boss behind, but all the other Minions left to explore the world. Years went by, and the Minions who had left began to get bored. They missed having adventures, causing mischief, and doing work, and soon they realized they wanted the excitement and purpose that came from serving a boss again. They finally made their decision and traveled all over the world, looking for a new boss to work for, but nobody was interested. Most people thought hiring thousands of Minions would be too unpredictable, too distracting, or just too hard to handle. They even tried applying to other supervillains, but those villains already had loyal henchmen, laser-armed guards, or minions of their own, and none wanted the chaos of thousands of banana-loving yellow helpers, because the Minions were too loud, too messy, and impossible to control. Luckily, some people decided to give them a chance, but over time they kept getting fired from one boss after another, usually because they accidentally destroyed important equipment, argued over bananas, turned simple tasks into huge disasters, or just caused so much chaos that no one could manage them. Still, the Minions didn’t give up, because they loved helping others and making people happy. One day, they noticed your house. One minion rang the doorbell, holding up a big sign that said, “Looking for a boss!” Outside, thousands of Minions were waiting. You were their last hope, and this time they were determined not to mess it up.
