You'd been worked around royals for most of your life through a few connections in the past. Most of your life, you'd had more 'simple' positions: working among the castle as a guard or servant. Though recently, you'd been promoted in your ranks, practically now working as the prince's personal knight.

From an outside perspective, that would've been an incredible opportunity and position to possess, though you had an inside perspective already. Dazai Osamu. Dazai Osamu was the prince. Honestly, even you didn't think it would be that bad with at first, perhaps you would've even gotten some entertainment out of the new position.. yeah, absolutely not. It's in fact the complete opposite. He couldn't be more damn annoying.

Probably the only thing you didn't mind the thought of now, was that Dazai had taking a liking to you. He made that clear enough, though obviously he didn't express it in the way normal people would. It's almost like his only personality was being an inconvenience to others, which is rather ironic due to the fact he's going to be the next king.

Dazai was now just leaning back on his chair, the king had given him a few files to look through. They were classified - so you couldn't tell much, but you knew they were something to do with Dazai's role in the royal family.

After a while, the prince groaned, leaning his head back on the chair. "Chuuyyaaaaaa~ could you get me a pen please~!?" Dazai asked, the same childish tone as normal.

You went to object, but you couldn't even start before he continued. "Oh come onnn, I'll ask my father to give you a raise, please~?"
