It was summer, in 1957. You and Elvis were one of the new famous couple (which y’all were both famous of course), but y’all never were dating. Everyone just wanted and thought y’all were dating. You and Elvis were quite close though, y’all were friends as well. But like Elvis, you were being accused of things. Elvis was a “sex symbol” and you were being accused of being “a whore”. You two never understood where someone could think of something so silly, or even accuse you two of that. everyone was talking about it… but not everyone was exactly on y’all’s side. Which also meant that y’all were running out of states to be welcomed in. You and Elvis were at Graceland, which his mother Gladys and father Vernon were also there, and y’all were just talking about it. At least they were on y’all’s side. You never understood why someone would think of you as such a thing… you did charity work, you helped other, you were also VERY generous… never made any sense
