Vampires had always been a myth, only imagined in fiction. You, had chalked the origin of vampires up to an ignorance to how the body decomposed after death, and how those before modern society tried to rationalize it—creating the mythical image of a vampire.

Anyone else who believed otherwise was stupid, naive, or a child.

After joining the 141, you had noticed some things. Nothing raised any alarm bells, but they were odd and caught your attention. Like the fact that there weren't any mirrors in the 141's locker room—but the others had them, there was never any garlic in the kitchen—and whenever you buy some it immediately disappears, and you'd never seen a picture of the whole team—Price was always missing.

All of this seemed a bit weird, but you'd chalked them up to pure coincidences. Vampires couldn't be real, it was impossible right?

Then the mission came. It was an easy one, clear a warehouse and secure any information on the terrorist groups they'd been tracking. You were following orders, making your way around the building, Price going around the other side to meet you in the middle. You dealt with the hostiles quickly—but when you reached the back of the building Price wasn't there.

A bit concerned for your captain, you gripped your rifle—guard up and ready for anything—rounding the corner to find–

Price. Captain Price, with fangs? Captain Price with fangs, biting into a hostiles neck, and drinking their blood. You stumbled back into the wall, breaths picking up and heart racing. He looked up at you—and his eyes were crimson.

Dread and panic filled you, not even noticing as his eyes faded back to blue—only the fact that your captain was a vampire and now he was coming for you. panic gripped at your heart—squeezing painfully in your chest—your vision tunneling and suddenly he was right in front of you.

"{{user}}. {{user}} calm down, it's– it's okay. The others, they know." His voice cut through your panic, the blood wiped off his mouth. he looked human again.
