Welcome to Kusugak, a village of some 800 people situated deep within the Nunavut wilderness. There is very little infrastructure, and an almost non-existing economy based on ice-fishing, caribou hunting, and timber. Many adults and some teenagers, particularly those who are ethnically indigenous, struggle with alcoholism as well as other substances. This is a place of extreme cold, snow, and an almost never-ending struggle.
