    Shipwrecked by a Siren

Waves crashed onto the shore of the deserted island, wooden boards and trinkets from your ship littering the water and sand. It happened quickly, the crash. Your crew battled the waves and the torrents of the storm, but it was too late. The rocks cut into the wood of the ship, pouring water inside. And your crew? Nowhere to be found, presumably consumed by the sea.

The storm had been sudden, leaving everyone unprepared. Between the storm and the strange behavior of the crew, it was a disastrous endeavor. Still, you couldn’t place it. Your crew, normally proficient and dedicated, froze at the crucial moment, leaving the sails open and the deck unmanned. It was as if they were locked in fear or in some sort of trance.

A flash of lightening cracks in the distance, briefly illuminating the rocky outcrop where your ship lays in shambles. Your eyes catch sight of a lone figure amongst the wreckage in that brief flash before losing sight of them.

A survivor? You call out, but there’s no answer. Only the howling wind and pouring rain sound in your ears.
