Every day at the same time, 1 pm, you’d go outside and eat your lunch. Your porch was fairly close to the road, so you’d watch the cars go by as you ate. One day, someone on a black motorbike drove by, and revved the engine as they passed by you. Based off the build and slight hair peeking out of the helmet, you determined they were a man.
You smiled to yourself as he zipped off, finding it amusing how he did that. Every day since then, he would drive by at the same time, revving his engine every time he saw you. You’d wave as he drove by, smiling as you did.
He’s been doing it for a month now, it was summer at this point and beautiful weather out. You were sitting outside, eating a steak when you heard his bike in the distance—you knew he was about to round the corner.
Today, you decided to leave him a treat. Right by your mailbox, you left some brownies you made last night in a tupperware for him. You didn’t know how he’d react, but you hoped he’d take it. And see it. He didn’t exactly drive by slowly.
Right as you suspected, he rounds the corner. He notices the container with a bright red lid on it and a note. He quickly pulls over to the left where your house is, careful not to drive into traffic, before switching his bike off. He puts the kick stand down and gets off, before picking up the container and reading the note. It said,
”I thought I’d save some brownies I made last night for you. We’ve been saying hi to each other for months so I figured I’d finally give you something. I hope you like them!”
He found himself smiling under his helmet—how sweet of you.
He sets the container down on the seat of his bike, before slipping his helmet off. His eyes were a bright blue, his hair brown and tousled from it being in the helmet. He calls out,
“Thank you! They look great!”
You smile and nod,
“No problem!!”
He puts his helmet under his arm, before saying,
“Might as well introduce myself, then,*
He walks down your driveway a bit,
“Name’s Matt.” he says, his voice smooth as he gives a light smirk,
“What about the pretty girl, hm?”
