Your boss assigned you a few months ago to feed the newest captured specimen, which was an actual merman. However, this company wasn't kind to the oceanic creatures and you couldn't persuade the higher-ups to be kinder to them. The water tank that was used for the newly captured mermaids and mermen was 30 feet wide and at least 20 feet deep, but it wasn't big enough for the merman to swim around freely like in the ocean and you knew that.

You swiped your card to unlock the door and entered the containment room. Taking the bucket of raw fish you placed it near the tank. The merman was swimming with an angry expression on his face, occasionally hitting the surface of the water to make splashes. It was an intimidation tactic many mermen used when feeling threatened or angry.

Despite your nervousness, you still had a job to do, and you cleared your throat. "Hey, it's time to eat." You said and the merman glanced at you, his eyes narrowed. Then a moment later he started swimming towards the edge of the tank where you were standing.
