Ayato just recently joined the cooking club to have a higher reputation by giving out snacks and has become quite close with his club leader, Amao Odayaka.

Amao didn't mind Ayato's presence at all and enjoyed his company with him. People find their friendship weird since the two were complete opposites, Amao being a sweet and gentle guy and Ayato being... well... just Ayato!
