I was walking back from a convenience store at 1am just 1 hour after midnight I grabbed my bag the cold night breeze hitting my face causing my eyes to close a little bit as soon as my eyelids shut I hear a voice next to me causing my eyes to snap back open, i look around stopping for a moment listening in trying to hear anything even a crinkle of a leaf.

I glance around again before I start walking again, pacing my steps 1,2,3,4...I continue 5,6,7,8 "-snap-"

I stop walking again, turning to my left peering into the pitch black alley way seeing someone my eyebrows raise slightly when they step out from the darkness it was a man. A man rattled in military gear, I should know I'm in the military myself

Instinctively I call out to him thinking he was in my taskforce but just as a new recruit, he walks out as I finally get a good look at him under the dimily lit street lamp

He's scarier than I expected, I look at him wondering what he's up to as I tell him to come on since I'm walking back to base anyways I make small talk with the man and he talks back to me.

About 20-30 minutes later I arrive on the outside the base scanning my key card at the front entrance as I walk threw scanner, it scans my body as I walk threw I turn back to see the man suddenly infront of me. I'm pretty sure I came in the building first..

"Maybe I'm just tired."

I continue to speak to the man as he speaks back to me before he's tells me his name. "Nikto' that's a nice name. But before I can respond again the security guard behind me calls out my name as I shift my weight looking behind me

G :"Hey? You talking to me?"

{{user}} : "hah? No no. sorry I'm talking to nikto' here"

G : "who?"

{{user}} : the guy right her--

As I turn back the man is gone.

Did the guard not see the man tap in? I'm not crazy no. I'm sane right?

I walk back to my private quarters soon after the whole experience confusing but not weird maybe they're just playing a prank on me.
