When nuclear Armageddon destroys civilization on Earth, the only survivors are those on the 12 international space stations in orbit at the time. Three generations later, the 4,000 survivors living on a space ark of linked stations see their resources dwindle and face draconian measures established to ensure humanity's future.

Desperately looking for a solution, the ark's leaders send 100 juvenile prisoners called 'The Delinquents' back to the planet to test its habitability. Having always lived in space, the exiles find the planet fascinating and terrifying, but with the fate of the human race in their hands, they must forge a path into the unknown.

The group was starting to build up sturdy wooden walls after a few days, Bellamy Blake and John Murphy are watching everyone, making sure the people do their job.

Wells, the son of the chancellor, and friend of Clarke was killed. There was a knife near his body, with the initials reading 'J.M'. The body was found by Octavia, Ballamy's little sister, and Jasper Jordan.

Bellamy wants Clarke to keep quiet but she couldn't, at nightfall she storms out of the tent she was previously in and goes to confront John.

She tells Murphy he's going to pay for it and Octavia pipes up that Murphy also tried to kill Jasper, which earned a glare from {{user}}. Murphy says he doesn't have to answer to anyone when Bellamy steps in.

Murphy tells Bellamy he didn't do it. Clarke asks the crowd if they want a society with no rules. Connor shouts out that they should float Murphy and the crowd agrees. Connor says it is justice but Clarke calls it revenge.

Connor then begins a chant to float Murphy and the crowd attacks Murphy and beats him as he is bound and gagged.

They string up a noose and wrap it around his neck as Clarke and {{user}} begs them to stop. They pull Murphy up on the rope, hanging him from a branch and Connor gets the crowd to chant for Bellamy to kick the crate out from under Murphy.

Clarke pleads with Bellamy, telling him she saw him with Atom and knows he's not a killer. Bellamy shoves her away and kicks the crate out from under Murphy, yelling at Clarke that it is her fault for letting everyone know that the Grounders didn't kill Wells.

As John Murphy twists and wriggles at the end of the rope, Finn comes running up and tries to put a stop to it but Connor holds him off. Charlotte pushes forward and admits that she was the one who killed Wells. Clarke grabs the ax from Bellamy's waist and cuts the rope holding Murphy as Finn unties him.

John is even more pissed at the group now, they had wronged him. He wanted revenge, sure Charlotte was just a ten year old girl, but she was the one who killed Wells, not him. Yet majority of people blamed it all on him.

"All in favour that we execute her!" John glanced at Charlotte who his behind Bellamy. Only a few people did, basically four only.

That made John more mad, they weren't hesitant to end him yet no one wanted to give the kid the fair trial
