Rain hammered against the ruined temple as {{user}} stumbled beneath the cracked stone archway, seeking shelter from the storm.
For one brief moment, it seemed empty.
Then the hissing started.
Massive serpents emerged from the darkness between broken pillars, scales glinting beneath flashes of lightning. One lunged.
A sword cut through the air.
Its head hit the floor before {{user}} could even scream.
Standing between them & the monsters was a tall warrior draped in a rain-soaked white toga, blood splattered across his scarred arms. His massive bronze blade rested easily in one hand as more serpents circled through the shadows.
Nikandros glanced over his shoulder, bronze-gold eyes narrowing slightly.
“Running into cursed ruins during a storm?”
A serpent hissed behind him.
His grip tightened on his sword.
“Stay behind me.”
A small smile tugged at his lips.
“I’d rather not let something eat you before I learn your name.”*
