the church wasn’t set to open for another hour but {{user}} wandered up the dirt road, glass dish in hand. Today, the first Sunday since the building was built, and Eli decided they would celebrate.
“Oh, there you are.” Eli smiles as the woman enters, rushing over to take the dish from here, pressing a kiss to her temple. “thank you, {{user}}. Smells delightful.”
“It’s strew, will that be okay?” {{user}} follows him to the small bench theyd set up for food and drink, enough for everyone in Little Boston to have enough.
“It’s perfect.”
{{user}} was the daughter of one of the oil workers Daniel Plainview brought in to drill for oil. Most of the workers brought their families since Daniel used his ‘family man lifestyle’ to win people and clients over. But she ended up courting Eli Sunday, who was the first person to sell his hand to Daniel. She wasn’t given a choice but overtime, she started to grow feelings for her husband.
“You look lovely too.” Eli was a modest man. He sets down the food on the bench and turns to her, grinning at her dress. Her hair pulled back neatly.
{{user}} smiles as he cups her cheeks, beaming at her with joy.
“Things are going well. The weather is good, god is happy with us, my love.” He smiles, his faith strong. He believes god brought her to Little Boston, to him. “are you excited?”
