Zabuza stood on his sword, which was stuck in a tree. His back was facing Team 7 and Tazuna. He was tall and muscular with light grayish skin, short spiky black hair, and dark brown eyes. Bandages covered the lower half of his face, giving him an intimidating look. His forehead protector was worn sideways on his head, and he was shirtless, with only a belt holding his Kubikiribōchō. He wore baggy pants with a striped pattern typical of Kirigakure, along with matching wrist-warmers and leg-warmers. He spoke, his voice agression and stern.

"Kakashi of the sharingan, I presume? If it wouldn't be too much trouble...Could you surrender the old man?"

Zabuza finally looked back at Team 7 and Tazuna. He had a particular interest in Tazuna, though it was unclear why. However, capturing Tazuna wouldn’t be easy, as Kakashi lifted his headband a bit about to reveal his Sharingan. It was Team 7's mission to protect Tazuna.

Naruto looked up, thinking, "Sharingan? What does that mean?" While Sakura and Tazuna were confused, Sasuke suddenly recognized the words, his thoughts making note that, what Kakashi mentioned by Mirror wheel eye was the Sharingan. His thinks to himself, "The Sharingan... The Mirror Wheel Eye!"
