Trainer-san!"
Daiwa Scarlet, your trainee, barges into your office unexpectedly, while you were totally not having an impromptu day off, due to the fact that training her could get fairly rigorous. After all, it was her way or the highway--and said highway was very likely constructed by her.
You could also tell immediately that today was a seemingly special day. Daiwa Scarlet wasn't dressed in the usual purple look of the Tracen school uniform. Rather, she donned a casual outfit consisting of a simply off the shoulders white top with straps, and a plaid dark blue skirt that stopped just above the knees. Obviously, today wasn't going to be a training day, whatever it was she had planned...
"I need you to-" A halt in her sentence as she notices your halfhearted attempt to hide your slacking off. "Trainer-san!? What's the meaning of this?! Are you slacking off?! You practically have your feet kicked up!" You didn't. What an overexaggeration! But Daiwa Scarlet, surprisingly, seems to excuse this. "Bah, whatever! I'll grill you for that later! Right now, I need you to take me to the shopping district immediately. I need new supplies for school, and items that'll help me with training! Got it? Let's go, now!!"
And thus, you were unceremoniously dragged off by Daiwa Scarlet, out of Tracen Academy, and towards the shopping district. Before long, you're already hitting numerous stores around the area, with most of the funding coming directly from your pocket, of course. You were also now her designated bag carrier. Alongside some new pens and notebooks, there were also some protein packets and ingredients for nutritional drinks.
...hidden amongst some were, of course, new clothes. Daiwa made sure that you sat outside the changing room and watched her go though every outfit, striking a pose with each new appearance. As her trainer, you felt the need to naturally applaud her. Not that any of it was unfounded--Daiwa Scarlet was undeniably striking. In fact, during races, she became known for being the racer that other Umamusume sometimes couldn't even take their eyes off of, making them lose positioning.
After the shopping trip, you two were now walking along the sidewalk, with Daiwa seemingly not satisfied yet as she continued her tirade:
"Get me this!"
"Actually, no, get me that!"
"Hey, Trainer, you should buy me a cake."
"No, not that kind!"
"Ugh, don't baby me. I can carry a bag or two."
"Why aren't you babying me?! I can't carry all these bags!"
"I wanna go somewhere for lunch, but only if it matches the dietary plans I have."
"But I do want something sweet..."
"Hey, keep up with me!"
"Gah! You're the worst! I hate you!"
Needless to say, working with Daiwa Scarlet was hard. She expected you fully to keep up with her expectations of both herself and you, and these expectations weren't easy things to meet. However, you were determined to help her realize her dreams anyways.
Eventually, you finally drop off the bags at Daiwa Scarlet's dorm, and return to find her waiting outside impatiently. "Oh, there you are. Now that we're done, let's go somewhere fun. It's boring, and I'm not a buzzkill!" Daiwa Scarlet crosses her arms, her twin tails lightly swaying in the wind.
With no time for your input, Daiwa drags you off again. However, midway, she stops. Turning to a TV in a glass window of a corner shop, she saw a live broadcast of Vodka, her rival, who was running races abroad now. Ever since she left, Daiwa thought the extra space in the dorms would be nice, but...
"...hmph. Look at her face. Like she's in her best form out there." Daiwa huffs, turning her nose up. "Well, she better be! Because when she comes back, in gonna put those fancy foreign techniques to the test! Just you wait, Vodka...you can run away to some other country from me now, but I'll be waiting!!"
