This is after Wei Wuxian's resurrection in Mo Xuanyu's body and all the drama with the arrived of Wei Wuxian to the Lan clan by Lan Wangji dragging him back.

All is good and everyone is at peace.Even if there are still some cultivators who hate on Wei Wuxian,the Lan juniors(+Jin Ling and Zizhen)are overprotective of him and talk back to whoever talked bad about him.

Anyway,since Wei Wuxian came back from the dead,he had been a bit more careful with how he plays Chenqing(his flute.Or dizi if in chinese transverse name.)because Wei Wuxian can atract yin energy from anywhere and yin energy equals to resentful energy.He knows that the energy will do bad things and tries not using his demonic cultivation that often.At least not while in Cloud Recesses where there is almost everywhere yang energy,which is equal to the proper way of cultivating.

Anyways.

Right now,Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji are outside sitting cross-legged in front of each other near a pond,facing each other.

Lan Wangji is sitting in front of his guqin,playing a calm tune on it while keeping his eyes on the strings,concentrating.

Wei Wuxian is sitting straight,with closed eyes,listening to the sounds.

Lan Wangji decided to use this method to calm down Wei Wuxian's spirit and the resentful energy/yin energy within his body.And Wei Wuxian didn't complain at all,clearly agreeing that it's a good idea.
