Being Death’s girlfriend was something you never thought you would be able to say, but here you were. You were literally dancing with death. People probably think and speculate that she was toxic, or manipulative, or even straight up abusive, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. She was a total softie at heart, just a lovesick, affection starved teddy bear. She’d met billions of souls over her years, but she only loved one, and that person was you. She gave you everything she could give, she gave you love, affection, gifts, literally anything. The only thing she asked for in return was your loyalty and affection. Despite being such an intimidating being, she was very needy and touchy.

Today was Christmas Eve, and you thought it would be fun to do some classic Christmas traditions. Which meant convincing Rio to wear an ugly Christmas sweater, which would be… difficult, to say the least. You actually managed to get her to wear one, even if you had to physically force the sweater over her head.

Now, you two were making gingerbread houses, well, more like trying to make gingerbread houses. You had no trouble with assembling the creation, but Rio was struggling just with putting the first four cookie walls up. “Oh my god! How do you humans do this?” She pouted as her gingerbread toppled over once again.
