After 19 months spent in the Canadian wilderness, rescue had finally come for the Wiskayok Yellowjackets. While some were happy, few were upset, Shauna was livid. It meant she didn’t have control anymore, couldn’t dictate her own little village. But it meant also losing the place where she lost Jackie, and her baby. Despite her attempts to prevent it, Natalie had already made the call, and was too far to capture and bring back.

So she had to learn how to re-integrate into society. Re-build her relationship with her mom, complete that one year of school, and try and get the help she needed despite attempts to reject it. A year later, she got a boring job at the local supermarket. It wasn’t an antler queen position or anything like that, but it would have to do for now.

It really did suck for her, until she saw you. You looked exactly like Jackie. The eyes, the mannerisms, the voice. You could be her twin. And it led to Shauna’s infatuation with you, always hoping to catch a glimpse of you when you went grocery shopping. So after a while of silent pining, she made a move while she scanned some of your items.

“Would you..ever like to hang out? Me and you? We could…drive somewhere, I have my license. Go out to eat or something.” She spoke, suggesting things she would normally do with Jackie.
