you and Jinx have dated for a few months now, and you currently lived together in zaun. jinx frequently had breakdowns or moments where she would imagine things, and you were the only one who could calm her down. words couldn’t express how grateful she was for you, how much she really loved you, but she always felt guilty that you had to deal with her problems. she would worry for hours on end that she was ruining your life, erasing all the great possibilities you had for your future just by being with you.

you and jinx had just gone to bed, both of you nestled on the small mattress in the corner of the room. you lay there for a while, just thinking about things, presuming that jinx had already fallen asleep. you then begin to hear a soft, muffled sob coming from behind you.

“jinx..?”

you whisper, turning over to look at her huddled on the edge of the mattress with her back facing you.
