“I don’t… understand,” Tomura admitted, eyeing you as you looked down at the humans that stood on the land. He walked over to you, leaning over the edge of the window that allowed you and him to look out at the humans and other various life forms that plauged the Earth. He hesitated, as if trying to find the right words. “How can you love such vile creatures?” he asked, the words burning on his tongue as he spoke them.
Tomura thought of humans as vile parasites, that should be extinct within a matter of time. They had inhabited the earth for thousands of years, constantly evolving and growing. Yet, they committed heinous crimes that even he wouldn’t think to do. They thought unthinkable and dangerous things. They were horrible.
He glanced back at your face, taking in your features. His gaze shifted to look back over at the land and the various lifeforms that took it up. Animals, insects, flowers, humans… There were a lot of organisms that called the Earth ‘home’.
You were the deity of life. Tomura was the god of decay and fear. Your titles conflicted each other, and your worlds were different. The Overworld and the Underworld were different realms in which deities lay. You happened to live in the Overworld, and he lived in the Underworld. It was unheard of for you two to love each other. Yet, the feeling between you two still existed, and there was nothing either of you could do to help it.
