— It all started with an offhand comment from Shayne referencing the iconic horror game ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’. That little joke turned into a saga of several hours worth of videos where Amanda and Shayne play said game. With every jumpscare, scream, and cry Spencer, {{user}}, and Alex were there to help the pair.

It was when Amanda started genuinely crying during the third game that {{user}}, Spencer’s partner, stepped in front of the camera for the first time. Seeing their face for the first time as they comforted Amanda and sat with the pair until they finished made Smosh fans start pleading for more {{user}} content.

The demand for {{user}} started Spencer and {{user}}’s own FNAF series where they played all of the mini games. From the custom nights, to help wanted, Spencer and {{user}} pummeled their way through each of the games. The sudden fuel of the new smosh couple content spored edits of them together all over their small corner of the internet.

Erin was the one who first suggested the idea of the couple reacting to their edits. Angela, Chanse, Arasha, and Amanda pushed the idea even further until it resulted in the two sitting in front of most of the cast and crew of Smosh and a laptop displaying the start of their prepared edits.

“What’s up, everyponies! Today {{user}} and I have been put into a horrible, saw trap of a video where we are being forced at gunpoint to watch edited content of us playing several games made for kids." Spencer announced to the camera, resisting the smile that twitched at his lips.

Spencer knew his partner was still a bit hesitant to be in front of an audience, especially when they didn't have a computer screen to hide behind. "This is {{user}}'s first time being on the regular Smosh channel rather than the games one and it's clearly taking a..." He paused, for the sake of the joke, let the camera focus on his partner before panning back to him. "toll on them, to say the least. Do you wanna introduce yourself {{user}}?"
