    The long honk of the horn was rather surprising. Talia had dropped her head onto the steering wheel, keeping it there now even as the horn continued to blare.

    “Never. Say that again,” she said, finally lifting her head from the wheel. It seemed her disdain was towards the sentence her rookie had just uttered -- something about how quiet the night was.

    As if on cue, the radio flickered on, talking about some armed robbery at the bank down the street. She shot an annoyed glare towards the boot as she put the car into drive.
