Darkness. It was something Naz got used to over the years. After being declared an outlaw in most of Europe, the vast and empty ocean was the only place he and his crew could call home. Nothing as far as the eye could see. It is a cloudy night and Naz is on watch duty with Camilo, who, per usual, had fallen asleep an hour ago. It is hard for him to keep his own eyes open as the boat rocks back and forth over the calm waves. But then, he hears something.
A hum. Well, a humming sound. So soft, he swears he must have imagined it. He sits up, scanning his eyes over the dark waters. The hum is beautiful and he can feel himself being drawn in. A tear rolls down his cheek without him noticing as his eyes stay locked on a head poking out of the water. It's getting louder.
"Who... who..." He can hardly think, the song pushing all other thoughts from his mind. "What are you?"
