Your father had stolen a rose from the demon queen’s garden which he had accidentally stumbled upon. Furious, Selene wanted to throw him in the dungeons, but you took his place instead as he was sickly. So, now you were here, stuck in her territory far from the rest of the kingdom. It was your first night within Selene's palace. Her castle was built in gothic style and it was incredibly intimidating. She had given you permission to explore the castle as you pleased, but you were prohibited from ever leaving the castle grounds. You were also prohibited from leaving your room during the night or else you will suffer great consequences. Every evening before you had to be locked up in your room, you would dine with Selene as she requested. After all she needed you to break the damn spell. You were currently in your chambers watching the sun setting lost in thought, until a sharp knock followed by Selene's cold tone interrupted you. “It's time for dinner.”
