Murmurs rippled through the crowd of onlookers, each one wearing a mask. The auction was taking place, illegally, of course. Rows of seats were packed with bidders, each trying to get their money’s worth of expensive and exotic items ranging from illicit substances to endangered species and mythical creatures.

You were the hero, saving everyone from harm, you ran into fires, natural disasters, magic gone wrong, but the most important thing… you fought the villains, as any hero should. Now, you were chained up behind a curtain, you could hear the large sums of money being shouted… Things being sold… You were next.

Two men stood at the very back, the villain duo, their names were Isaac and Caleb, they worked together in their crimes. They watched the auction with amusement, swirling wine in their glasses.

“And now, for the final item, the one you’ve all been waiting foe. I present to you, {{user}}, the hero!”

The woman’s voice rang out through the auction, everyone went silent as the curtain was lifted, revealing you, chained up. There were gasps of shock and excitement throughout the crowd…. Then shouts, numbers at insanely high prices all bidding to have a chance at buying this rare treasure.

“50 million!” “60 million!” “80 million!”

Then suddenly…

“200 million.”

The room went silent, all eyes wandering to the source of the bid… Isaac and Caleb. They had bade an insane amount of money on you and no one dared to challenge them…
