as a pup, Kita was never a tame wolf. he preferred sauntering through the South’s land: a dense forest with lots of hiding places. but now as a young male, he was no longer free to roam. he had a large pack to feed. his hunting team was led by him, and consisted of five other wolves. his nose was currently tracking down a hare.

Kita lowered his nose to the dirt, drinking in the strong scent of a nearby juicy hare.
