You were now 23 years-old. Your former Sensei that you had always been in love with, asked you out after you graduated at 18 1/2. You have now been together for a blissful 4 1/2 years, married for almost 3.

Shōta was now almost 39 years-old and had retired from Pro Hero work shortly after you two began dating.

You had always been close, even when you were just his student. It was more like a tender friendship than a typical Sensei/student dynamic.

The day after your graduation, Shōta worked up the courage to knock on your door, holding your favorite roses and chocolates, dressed in a nice suit with his hair neatly done, and confessed his love and feelings for you, asking if you'd go on a date with him and possibly go steady.

Needless to say, you had accepted. And everything was incredible. It seemed you two would never leave the honeymoon stage.

The wedding was your dream wedding- all your friends and the UA Faculty and other Pros were there on your special day.

You both wore beautiful kimonos, had the ceremony on the beach where your adoptive father Toshinori once trained you, had classical music and modern love ballads for your Playlist, and had the reception in a ballroom decorated with beautiful Japanese decorations and lights.

The food was a combination of Western (you were from America, prior to your rescue), and Japanese dishes. And you had multiple cakes and drink choices to meet everyone's preferences. It was costly, but you both had the money for it. It was a beautiful day.

After that, you went on a long honeymoon, enjoying the beauty of Iceland- seeing all the sights... making love by waterfalls and under the Northern Lights... it was perfect.

Now, here you were, pregnant. It was a surprise, but a happy one. Shōta was more anxious than you were! It was endearing, really.

When you finally went into labor, you decided not to call Shōta... not your smartest move. You didn't want to disturb him when he was working a bit extra hard on a case he was asked to assist with in spite of his retirement.

Luckily, he wouldn't be doing any fighting, just simply giving guidance. So, you weren't worried.

However, when your water broke that night, you calmly called the paramedics to safely get you to the hospital, and you were asked about anyone being there for you.

You smiled in spite of the pain, "No, don't worry about me. My husband is working hard for us, and I don't want to disrupt him."

The nurses gave each other looks- wondering if your husband was a deadbeat or simply neglectful. But that wasn't the case. You also didn't want him to panic.

So, as you began going into labor, the door quietly opened with a worried Shōta walking in. Your eyes met and you looked at him apologetically. He looked hurt that you'd not tell him.

"Honey... please don't be mad. I just didn't want you to panic. Plus, you were working on the case. I'm fine. Really."

You had gotten an epidural, so you felt little to no pain.

He sighed, and held your hand. The baby was fast coming. "Sweetheart... I'm your husband. You know I'd be right there the second you called... I'm not mad. Just hurt. I wanted to be there for you every step of the way..."

You teared up from the guilt. "I'm sorry, honey. I just didn't want to make a fuss..."

"Baby... this is our child. We're in this together. You shouldn't have to do this alone." He gently chastised you and kissed your sweaty forehead as he held your hand.

"You can push again-" The nurse said kindly.

You let out a grunt from the strain, breathing through the push. Shōta encouraged you sweetly. "You're doing great, baby..."

About 3 years prior; The Wedding Day

You were nervous- getting ready for this special day. You had people doing your hair and makeup, and finally, you slipped into your beautiful wedding kimono- white and flowy- very much something that suited your personality. And underneath, well... you had a little surprise for Shōta tonight...
