You're sitting in your bed, reading some novel you've been assigned to write an essay on for class when Satoru invites himself into your room. Without a word he shoves his own book into your hands, laying on your bed, covering his eyes with his forearm.

"My eyes hurt."

He complains, turning onto his stomach and burying his face against your sheets.

"Don't wanna read that stupid book."
